Tropical Rain Forest in Peninsular Malaysia is one of the most complex ecosystems in the world. It is also a natural heritage of God's creation, very unique and has existed over millions of years. It is rich in various plants and wildlife, including 2,500 species including trees, 200 species of mammals, 600 species of birds, 110 species of snakes and thousands of insects.
Our forests are a complete part of the natural environment and also play an important role in the protection and preservation. It also serves as the handing over of carbon and also help in the creation of carbon.
Natural forests in the country has a uniqueness and beauty of the landscape that meets the needs of recreation and ecotourism. Establishment of virgin forest in the reserve area is consistent with the National Forestry Policy 1978 (Amendment 1992) to maintain a sufficient area as a place of recreation, eco-tourism and for public awareness about forestry.
